Follow the steps below to create a planting template in Season Setup.
Use planting templates to create new seasons and plantings with predefined default values. Any new season or planting you create that uses a template will inherit those values.
This article contains the following sections:
Plantings by Calculated Net Acreages
1. Click on the season tile in the Manage Seasons tab in Season Setup to open the season page.
2. In the Plantings by Site section, locate the dropdown names Choose the site to view plantings below to add planting information assigned to that season.
Note: You will see your blocks previously created in Manage Sites.
3. Click on the block in the Blocks tab to assign a planting to that block.
4. Click on one of the three icons to assign a planting to that block:

5. Complete the planting in block(s) in the map to see default and custom values in Plantings section. The acreage will automatically autofill the data in these values.
6. Complete the optional and required values, marked by the * .
7. Click the Apply button at the bottom of the section.
Note: You can continue to add more plantings using the map above.
8. After all plantings are drawn and values are complete, click the Save button at the bottom-right of the page.
Plantings by Manual Net Acreages
This option is applicable to those that want to just enter their net and gross acreages instead of entering row parameters to calculate their net and gross acreage.
1. Click on the season tile in the Manage Seasons tab in Season Setup to open the season page.
2. Below the Site selection dropdown menu, check the box labeled Manually enter my net acreages and confirm the prompt.
Note: With this option selected, you can update your spray application calculations for the
following spray patterns in Crop IQ: Planted Acreage, Non-Planted Acreage, and Total Acreage.

3. Click on the block in the Blocks tab to assign a planting to that block.
4. Click on one of the three icons to assign a planting to that block:

6. Complete the optional and required values, marked by the * .
7. Click the Apply button at the bottom of the section.

8. After all plantings are drawn and values are complete, click the Save button at the bottom-right of the page.
